Moths from Mahakirau Forest Estate, Manaia, Coromandel, New Zealand, 2015 – 2026: an annotated list

Abstract

We provide a list of the Lepidoptera recorded during the first author's residence at the Mahakirau Forest Estate from 2015 to 2026 with annotations. A total of 423 species is recorded, representing the longest list of species so far recorded for a single restricted site in northern New Zealand. The most significant finds are briefly discussed and the list compared to those for forested areas of the Auckland district.
